A positive partnership; Paydens & Parkinsons UK

Published Date: 02 Apr 2020

It was in April 2018 that Paydens chose Parkinsons UK as its first official charity partner and we set ourselves the enormous company-wide challenge of raising £100,000.  So it is with great pleasure that we can announce that we have reached that amazing £100,000 fundraising target!

Shortly after World Parkinsons Day on Saturday 11th April 2020, Paydens held its very first virtual challenge; the Paydens 2.6 Challenge!  The sun shone and staff from across the group took to their gardens and front rooms to join Naomi from Glow Fitness lead 26 minutes of aerobic dance moves. This cross company team effort helped raise that all-important £1,106 which tipped us over the £100,000 mark!

It has taken huge amounts of hard work, planning and organisation, to come up with the whole host of fundraising ideas from every part of the company; from bake sales, to sky dives, from our hugely popular sponsored walks around Leeds castle in Maidstone, to fancy dress days and raffles.

It has also brought much fun and laughter and been wonderfully satisfying for all members of the Paydens community to get involved; from warehouse teams and delivery drivers, our Post Office counters, pharmacists, dispensing and shop teams, our care home residents and staff, all those at our Head Office, our supportive suppliers and of course our wonderful customers, to whom we owe a huge amount of thanks for supporting our community teams in whatever fundraising ideas they could come up with.

Parkinsons UK is a charity which is very close to our hearts here at Paydens and the way that the whole company has rallied round this fundraising challenge has been truly heart-warming.

We are all very proud of this achievement and know that funds raised will go towards vital research into finding a cure, but also to provide essential support to individuals and families affected by Parkinsons today.
